Canyons of the Ancients Trails System

Located in the Canyons of the Ancients National Monument off of CR G near the Colorado and Utah state line is a network of multi-use trails. These trails consist predominately of single track and some old abandoned jeep trails which are also used by hikers and mountain bikers. Signage is provided to specify which trails are specifically for horse riding or mountain bike riding. The trails takes one through a terrain of multi-colored sandstone and pinon-juniper woodland. There will be several stop off points to view historic and prehistoric puebloan ruins.
