The Durango Fish Hatchery is the oldest state-owned fish hatchery in Colorado. They raise rainbow, brown, Snake River and native cutthroat trout, and kokanee salmon. Durango stocks approximately 150,000 catchable rainbows and 1.3 million subcatchable fish each year in the southwest corner of Colorado. Included on the property is the Durango Wildlife Museum which has mounted fish, birds, raptors and mammals of Southwest Colorado. Admission is FREE!
