Chaco Culture National Historical Park

Contains the largest excavated Anasazi Ruins in the Southwest. Considered central to the Anasazi culture, Chaco is located in a canyon that lies within one of the most desolate New Mexico desert environments. The canyon contains hundreds of small sites along with 13 major ruins. Most of the ruins are accessible by vehicle or foot.

Chaco Canyon is located approx. 80 miles south of Aztec.
