Invitation to Bid #2008-326
Competitive sealed bids for
the City of Aztec Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements (Aztec Bid #2008-326)
will be received by the City of Aztec, Attention: Brandy Candelaria, Procurement
Officer for the City of Aztec, 201 West Chaco, Aztec, NM 87410, 505-334-7656,
until August 27, 2008, at 11:00 am. Bids will be opened and publicly
read aloud on August 27, 2008, at 11:00 am at the Aztec City Commission
Room.
The Wastewater Treatment
Plant Improvements will include:
1. Constructing one 1.5 MGD
extended aeration plant
2. Constructing up-flow
sand filters
3. Installing one mechanical
barscreen
4. Installing sewer gravity
and force main piping
5. Constructing one lift
station
6. Constructing a UV disinfection
system
7. Demolition of existing
wastewater plant
This project requires that
the contractor be experienced in wastewater treatment plant construction
(Bid and Contract Documents Supplemental Specification 100 – Contractor
Qualifications). This bid is subject to the requirements of the Bid
and Contract Documents, as defined in “Instructions to Bidders.”
A mandatory pre-bid conference
will be held on August 13, 2008, at 10:00 am, Aztec City Commission Room,
201 West Chaco, Aztec, NM 87410, and it will be followed by a site visit
at 12:00 pm.
Complete sets of the Bid
and Contract Documents may be obtained at the Office of the Engineer of
Record, Smith Engineering Company, 2201 San Pedro NE, Building 4, Suite
200, Albuquerque, NM 87110, (505) 884-0700, upon payment of $200.00 for
each set, which constitutes the cost of reproduction, handling and applicable
taxes. Any bidder or non-bidder who returns the Bid and Contract
Documents in good condition within thirty (30) calendar days after the
Bid Opening will be refunded the full amount less handling and applicable
taxes.

RUS Loan, RUS Grant, Clean Water State Revolving Fund Loan, EPA STAG Grant
