Visitors to the monument have the chance to learn about Southwestern Indian history from the earliest basketmakers to the Navajo Indians who still live and farm in the canyon.Touring of the Canyon can be done by individual vehicle along the North and South Rims, special tours conducted by park rangers, or by paid Navajo guide services.
